Villagers

Villagers are significantly modified on Vanilla X, this is due to a few QoL improvements and optimizations made to villagers to ensure a smoother playing experience.

Optimize

We use the infamous Optimize system to reduce the load Villagers have on the server.

Optimizing Villagers removes their movement, raid AI, and Iron Golem spawning AI, meaning they can no longer move, act as a raid center, or spawn iron golems.

To optimize your Villager, simply name a name-tag 'Optimize' and use it on the villager you wish to optimize.

Villager Limits

In addition to the optimize system, we also have some Villager limits in place, that limit the amount of Villagers you can have in a specific chunk. Please be aware these limits are subject to change in the event players abuse the limits.

• Unoptimized Villagers → 12 per Chunk

• Optimized Villagers → Unlimited

These limits should still allow for more intensive Raid Farms to function as intended.

Some Trading Mechanics

• As an alternative to using an Optimize nametag, you can simply trade with an unoptimized villager and it will become optimized.

• When you trade with a villager, a timer will show up above its head to show when it will next restock

  • Villagers restock after 5 minutes on Vanilla X

• Villagers will only level up once you close the trade GUI

Villager Breeders

Villager Breeders are not changed on Vanilla X, however you should set your breeders up so that the baby Villagers are held in a separate chunk to the breeder itself.

This is an example of splitting the storage between two chunks.

This Villager Breeder is perfect for anyone that needs a lot of villagers, since it’s fully automatic.

• Ensure you place a lightning rod away from the Villagers
