Discord & In-Game Chat Rules

Discord ToS Compliance

• Players must follow Discord's Terms of Service at all times.

Content Sharing

• Self-promotion is not allowed outside of the designated Discord channels.

• Promoting external Discord servers is not allowed.

Respect & Inclusion

• Harassment, sexism, racism, hate speech, or offensive language is strictly prohibited.

• The following will result in a severe punishment:

  • Cyberbullying

  • Encouraging self-harm or suicide

  • Threats or harassment

  • DDoS, SWAT and DOX threats/"jokes"/attacks

Note:
In the interest of player safety, in extreme circumstances we may punish players for breaching the above rules outside of the Vanilla X network.

By default, we do not punish for actions taken outside of the Vanilla X network.

NSFW & Disturbing Content

• Do not share content involving:

  • Nudity or sexual material

  • Graphic violence

  • Racism or hate symbols

  • Any disturbing or offensive media

Respect Staff

• Do not unnecessarily ping staff members.

Restricted Topics

• Discussion of DDoS, SWAT and DOX attacks is strictly forbidden.

Impersonation

• Do not attempt to impersonate players or staff.

• Do not mimic or fake automated messages.

Appeals & Unbans

• Do not appeal on behalf of others.

• Do not create tickets asking about someone else's punishment.

• Do not pester staff regarding punishments.

Advertising

• Advertising disallowed modifications is prohibited.

• Advertising cross-server trading publicly is not allowed. The act of cross-server trading itself is allowed.

In-Game Rules

Cheating & Exploits

• Hacking or cheating of any kind is strictly prohibited.

• Exploiting bugs or glitches is not allowed.

• Exploiting duplication exploits is not allowed, with the sole exception of TNT duping.

• Report bugs instead of abusing them.

Scamming

• Scamming or misleading players using any store item is strictly prohibited.

  • Due to the difficult nature of proving the outcome of a wager, this rule does not apply to wagers

    • Players are encouraged to use a middleman to protect themselves against wager scams.

Server Stability

• Intentionally causing lag or crashes is strictly prohibited.

Seed Protection

• Obtaining, using, or sharing the server seed is strictly prohibited.

Trading Rules

IRL Trading

• Trading in-game items or store goods for real-world value is prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Money (PayPal, CashApp, etc.)

  • Cryptocurrency (Bitcoin, ETH, etc.)

  • Items from other games (e.g., Counter-Strike skins)

  • Services (e.g., Discord Nitro)

• Joining or promoting servers dedicated to IRL trading will result in a punishment. Exception:

• Trading items from the Vanilla X store for items on the Vanilla X server is allowed.

Cross-Server Trading

• Trading items between servers is allowed.

  • Advertising such trades in public chat is not allowed, due to the nature of inherently promoting another server.

  • Advertising such trades in DMs or private messages is allowed.

Client & Gameplay Restrictions

Client Modifications

• Unauthorized client modifications are not allowed.

  • If you are unsure whether a mod is allowed, simply do not use it, you will not be given the benefit of the doubt if caught with a disallowed modification.

VR Usage

• VR is not permitted due to inherent unfair advantages and anti-cheat issues.

VPNs & Alts

• VPN & Proxy usage is strictly prohibited and will result in a punishment if caught.

• Alt-generating services are strictly prohibited.

Accounts & Security

Note: To protect yourself from account theft or unauthorized account access, you are encouraged to use the server's built-in 2FA (/2fa). Vanilla X is not responsible for loss of items through account theft.

Ban & Blacklist Evasion

• Ban and blacklist evasion is strictly prohibited.

• This includes using alternate or shared accounts tied to banned players.

  • Due to this rule, account sharing is strongly discouraged and will often lead to bans if the player you are sharing the account with is banned.

Security & Privacy

• Being part of communities that collect user data, Minecraft tokens, or Discord tokens is strictly prohibited.

• Violations will result in a permanent blacklist with no appeal.

  • This mod is not allowed while in combat, you will be banned if you are caught with it in PvP.

  • This mod must be used without Mob Mode, using Mob Mode will result in a punishment.

• Any worldmap mod

• X-Ray

• Inventory Organization Mods (Anything that moves items in your inventory, including armor, automatically)

• Tweakeroo

• Macros

• Non-vanilla block placement

• No Fog (vanilla no fog is allowed via Video Settings -> Details -> Fog -> Off)

• NoMoreUselessKeys (NMUK)

• Bobby

• Any mod that’s primary function allows you to AFK trade with Villagers
