Appeals & Punishment Policy
At Vanilla X, our approach to punishments is built around fairness, consistency, and accountability. This page outlines how appeals are handled, what players can expect, and the standards our staff follow.
No Pardons Policy
Vanilla X does not issue pardons for valid punishments.
Appeals should only be submitted if you genuinely believe your punishment was unjust or issued incorrectly.
Before submitting an appeal, players are strongly encouraged to review our staff guidelines to determine whether their case meets these criteria.
Our system is designed so that the vast majority of punishments are temporary, with only the most severe offences resulting in long-term or permanent restrictions.
Blacklists Explained
While most punishments are not permanent, some offences result in a blacklist.
Blacklists exist to ensure that serious punishments are fully served. Unlike standard bans:
We do not offer purchases to remove blacklists
The full duration of the punishment must be completed
This system ensures fairness and prevents players from bypassing serious consequences.
Fair Appeal Handling
All appeals at Vanilla X are handled with impartiality:
Appeals are never reviewed by the staff member who issued the punishment
This ensures every case is assessed fairly and without bias
If you feel your appeal is not being handled appropriately, you may:
Request a different staff member to review your case
The only exception is when a case is escalated to management:
Management decisions are final and cannot be overridden
Appeal Limits & Abuse
Our appeal system is designed to handle legitimate concerns—not to renegotiate punishments.
Appeals submitted solely to request a reduction in punishment length will be closed
Repeated or spam appeals may result in a ticket blacklist, preventing further appeals
Players are expected to use the system responsibly.
Evidence Standards
Because pardons are not issued, Vanilla X enforces high standards of evidence for all punishments.
Staff Responsibilities
Staff must ensure that all punishments are supported by clear, reliable evidence.
Evidence Sharing Rules
Evidence submitted by other players cannot be shared without their explicit permission
Evidence such as:
Server-side logs
Chat records
Staff recordings
may be shared if a player questions the validity of their punishment
This balances transparency with player privacy.
Scope of Enforcement
To maintain fairness and prevent abuse through falsified evidence, Vanilla X only enforces rules within environments we can verify.
We do not moderate or punish actions that occur outside of:
The Vanilla X Minecraft server
Official Vanilla X verified Discord servers
This ensures that all evidence used in punishments is trustworthy and cannot be manipulated.
